Things To Know About Mullayanagiri

Mullayanagiri is situated in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris (the highest peak of Karnataka) at 1930 m above the sea level. It is in the Bababudangiri mountain range of the Western Ghats.

Mullayanagiri is one of the most popular trekking and hiking destinations in South India. Famous for its trails and sunset views, the peak also houses a police radio relay station. The trekking trail between Mullayanagiri and Bababudangiri is the most famous trail this side of the country.

• Trekking, Trekking & Trekking - Mullayanagiri is a heaven for trekkers. Since ancient times, before the current road and steps are built, a trail used to lead up to the summit called “Sarpadari”. Although not much frequented today by lay persons it is still one of the most sought-after trails.
